EvaFe is the latest Latin artist to hit the scene of mainstream music culture. EvaFe, meaning “faith”, epitomizes the word, with her tireless journey to success and her quest for stardom. In today’s element of music, a natural talent with the capability to sing any genre of music is rarely found. Yet EvaFe boasts an uncanny delivery and style that screams versatility, which instantly makes her a Latin sensation. Possessing this rare gift makes it is only fitting for her journey to be just as rare and unconventional, which embodies EvaFe’s character and presence. With a flare resembling Selma Hayek and musical talent comparable to Selena, her distinctive and crisp voice is exactly what pop culture has been missing, and what her latin heritage has been waiting for.

Although she was born in Chicago, she spent much of her childhood in the south Texas and Mexico, where her extended family has lived for quite some time. EvaFe originally began singing with her mom in church. As if it was foreshadowing what was to come, she then was placed on a stage to perform at age 4. Learning at an early age to harmonize, this stylistic way of singing creates a distinguishable flavor for the artist. The look in her eye says it all when she hears artists such as Selena and Gloria Estefan. This style of music is and always will be her first love.

EvaFe continued her training as a singer and became a lead singer in a Christian Rock band that would ultimately travel throughout the U.S. performing at different schools and other social events. It was also in Minnesota where she also became more intertwined with pop culture and her assimilation into the culture of mainstream American music. She remembers not listening to mariachi and Salsa bands as much, but to iconic artists such as Gloria Estefan, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, Alicia Keys, Shakira and of course Selena. These artists made an impression on her at a pivotal time in her life, which gave her a chance to develop a non-traditional and unique flare for a Latina artist.

Upon graduation of high school, she left Minnesota and moved to Atlanta in an attempt to pursue a music career. Being that Atlanta contains a growing Latino population, and is primarily known for its flourishing urban music culture, EvaFe was immersed in a melting pot of cultures, developing a swag, while maintaining her Latin flare and appeal. EvaFe joined a local Latin band that performed at Latin nightclubs in the heart of the Atlanta’s Buckhead nightlife. It was in a Latin nightclub where she originally met a member of the Otis Redding family who would go on to introduce her to RnB and would later take a chance on developing her talent.

EvaFe also is an established model in the Atlanta area helping to enhance her marketability and creating her own brand. While working with renowned vocal coach Jan Smith and the backing of members of the Redding family to help further develop her talent, she quickly became acclimated to a lifestyle in the limelight, ultimately catapulting her career, being known as the “best kept secret”.

Q: Where do you hail from?
A: I was born in Izmail, Ukraine and my family immigrated to Miami, Florida in 1993 and I have continued to live there ever since.

Q: When and how did you start your music career?
A: Well ever since I remembered I have enjoyed singing and playing, but professionally I released my first album in 2005 with Red Hammer Records and quickly started touring the country.

Q: Do you write your own songs, and where do you get your inspiration?
A: Yes I do write all of my own songs, and have helped some of my fellow artists as they have helped me. My inspiration comes from my personal life, things I read, things I hear and over all everything I encounter has shaped me and influenced me.
